Cinnamon Creamed Honey

Creamed Honey – 1 Pound Glass Jar: Creamed Honey is a very popular choice for spreading, like on toast.  It has a smooth texture, yet still flows into all of the nooks and crannies on your English Muffin!  If you have never had creamed honey, give it a try!  We make it with our award winning honey (HLBC honey took 1st place in 2019 taste test at the Barrington Hills Fall Festival).

What is Creamed Honey? Creamed honey is crystallized honey, however it is a very fine crystal.  Nothing else is added. Sometimes it is called “Spun Honey”.  To make Creamed Honey, very fine honey crystals are added and the honey is then mixed and allowed to crystallize over 3-4 weeks.

Storing Creamed Honey- If creamed honey becomes warm (from the sun hitting it, or warm air temp), it will turn back into honey!  The best place to store creamed honey is in a cool place, out of the sun.  The refrigerator is fine, but might make it very firm and hard to use.  In a cupboard is good – just not on the counter where the sun can hit it!  If it does turn back into honey, it is still safe to eat – try mixing it up and putting in the refrigerator for a few weeks.

We offer Natural or Cinnamon.  Natural has nothing added and our Cinnamon has Cinnamon added during the process, nothing else!
