In Progress... A Storefront on the Horizon!
Follow along as we take you through our journey to opening Honey Lake Bee Company's first storefront!
This has been in the works for many years, but really kicked off with the sale of the property (22375 N Pepper Road) in 2025.
Summer 2025
We have had hives on this property for about 5 years before we ever thought this could be our future home.
In 2024, we saw a vision with this property and went through the process of purchasing it. Prior to us, it had sat vacant for 15+ years!
Late Summer 2025
We began clearing out all of the buckthorn and invasive species surrounding the old house and property.
End of Summer 2025
While we worked in the background finishing up the design and going through the permitting process, we got started on demolishing the house!
While it was sad to see an old beautiful house go, it had many structural issues, holes in the roof/walls and had become overrun with animals.
Summer 2026
While we finished up permitting for the main building, we started on one of the smaller outbuildings
A lot of time had passed without much visual progress but there was a lot of work behind the scenes!
August 2026
Ground breaking day! Concrete work started in mid-August and construction will be ongoing into 2027!
